Muller has resided in Saskatchewan throughout her life, excluding a 10 year hiatus, in Nova Scotia, AKA her extended holiday. Although her exposure to the arts and painting was initiated in the late ‘70s, her time in Nova Scotia, children and work aside, rejuvenated her creativity. Muller recalls Nova Scotia provided her with wonderful vistas, like-minded creative’s, and the opportunity to envelope herself in her paintings. In 2012, she expanded her skills by attending plein-air events and selling her work. Donna’s Gallery in Bayside, Nova Scotia, opened in 2015; frequented by many tourists travelling from Halifax to Peggy’s Cove and featured in Nova Scotia’s Doers and Dreamers tourism booklet and provincial tourism website. In 2017, after 10 wonderful years in Nova Scotia, Muller returned to Saskatchewan to be closer to her family. Muller and her gallery reside on the edge of Fur Lake, Saskatchewan.
Muller would describe art as a very personal thing. In her paintings she embarks to capture a particular memory or feeling of peace and serenity experienced in the visuals captured on holidays. Such scenes of preference include landscape vistas; scenes of memories, the beauty of nature.
