Over the years I have done quite a bit of plein air painting. The first plein air painting I completed, would have been in 1999, at Emma Lake, Saskatchewan. At that time we just called it painting outdoors. In Nova Scotia I attended plein air events in Lunenburg, Annapolis Royal and Peggy’s Cove. I also met regularly with a group to go out to different places around the Halifax area to paint. In July 2017, we moved back to Saskatchewan and I joined up with a group of plein air painters in the Regina area. Due to everyone being so busy, as of 2019, we stopped with regular plein air meet ups.
In 2024 I revived my plien air painting with a group around the Prince Albert area and hopefully have started an annual plein air painting at Honeywood Heritage Nursery in Parkside, Saskatchewan.

These plein air paintings are as of 2018. I do have a tendency to come home with my plein air painting and do some touch ups in my studio.
